WinGuard Pro 2007 is a great freeware utility that allows you to safeguard your PC from unauthorized access. The features on offer include password protection for all Windows programs and EXE files as well as file, folder and drive encryption from Windows explorer. The interface follows a clear, logical design making it very easy to work with, even for beginners. WinGuard Pro 2007 Free Edition improves over the 2006 version with some advanced application control features, allowing you to disable task keys, internet explorer, zip files and software installation, but unfortunately there isnÂ’t enough new content to warrant upgrading if you already have the 2006 version. Still, if you are in need of a good all-round security application for Windows, WinGuard Pro 2007 Free Edition will suffice, and although it isnÂ’t groundbreaking or particularly innovative, it remains a solid freeware security tool well worth a look.
