This freeware application, written in pearl, provides a very detailed progress indicator for online file uploads to. XUpload displays the bar either in a popup window or on the upload page itself, with the progress being updated in real time. Users are able to pause or abort the upload at anytime, and the utility even features built-in transfer failure detection. As far as ease of use goes, XUpload offers seamless website integration and runs transparently in the background, never interfering with normal web operations. It may be somewhat unremarkable, but XUpload is simple, useful and free, and it makes a handy, if not essential addition to any upload orientated website.
