WheelsOfVolume is a very small, simple freeware volume controlling application that will certainly appeal to PC media enthusiasts. In essence, the application allows you to control the sound volume on your PC by way of your mouse-wheel, scrolling up to increase it, down to decrease it and clicking the middle button to mute the volume altogether. How much use you get out of WheelsOfVolume, however, will depend on your hardware setup, and the true value of this utility is only evident if the volume control on your speakers is hard to access or out of reach. In such cases, being able to control the volume via your mouse is a true godsend. WheelsOfVolume is incredibly easy to use, and just hovering the mouse in the designated portion of the screen allows you to adjust the sound levels on the fly. Fortunately, the application doesnÂ’t hinder the normal functions of the mouse in any way, and really can make a significant difference to PC operation, especially if you frequently use your machine for movies and music. It is hard not to recommend WheelsOfVOlume, being small, simple, highly convenient and free, there isnÂ’t anything not to like.
