This seems like a fairly new product to me, so I downloaded it with some hesitation. Avira Personal edition is thankfully simple to use and a joy to operate. Avira Personal edition scans virus, worms and Trojans, protects against dialers and phishers (people who steal your credit information) and successfully deletes rootkits (newer type of virus, its job is to install advertising on your pc). The UI looks cool and the actual scanning process itself did not seem to take forever. Its free, so why not give Avira Personal edition a test run today.
