Hall of Shadows is pure evil. Not in the way that Saddam Hussain is evil, I refer to the fact that the gameplay is pure evil. The controls barely function, the sound is a random collection of bleeps and the graphics are pre-Pacman in nature. Hall of Shadows is a maze-like RPG which you will play once and never again due to the intense frustration of dying so rapidly and in quick succession. There are weapons to acquire, monsters to fight and jewels to pilfer yet itÂ’s all done in a horrible and awkward style.

Find the exit to a huge maze, pick from four maze sizes and six monster difficulty levels. The mazes are generated by the computer, so every new game has a unique maze to solve.

Save and load your games if you can't finish a game in one session.

Fight monsters, pick up treasure, armor and health potions. Trade with the maze fairies for the things you will need to solve this maze.

The smallest maze gives you a game you can play in five minutes, the largest would cover a wall in your house if you could see the whole of the maze at once.
