The print screen feature in Windows is known for its unreliability, and you arenÂ’t always able to use it to capture the image you desire. This little hiccup is easily overcome with Printkey 2000, a very simple utility that adds some much needed reliability and functionality to the print screen key. Printkey 2000 couldnÂ’t be easier to use, just hit the print screen key and the entire onscreen contents of your desktop is captured and can be saved in a range of file formats, including .gif, .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, and .wmf, among others. As an added bonus, images can be edited by altering their size and color, and can then be easily shared or printed. Printkey 2000 is an excellent, easy to use little Windows add-on, that proves very useful, particularly when preparing virtual demonstrations.

PrintKey 2000 can capture the desktop or an active window, which the standerd Windows 'print screen' sometimes does not do. You can also select rectangular portions of the desktop which you want to capture.

It supports BMP, JPEG, JPG, EMF, WMF and can save the image as either of those extensions.
