Spam and phishing mail messages are very annoying and can even be potentially harmful, so keeping your inbox spam-free should be a top priority. This job is made very simple by Spamfighter Standard, an automatic spam filtering tool that works with most popular email clients. Relying mainly on reports from the community to identify spam, Spamfighter Standard is fairly reliable, although the occasional spam message does evade its defenses. The utility adds a tool bar to your email client, making it straightforward enough to use, and features include multiple language packs, blacklist and whitelist management, detailed statistics and regular product update checks. On the downside, you are constantly bombarded with pop-ups asking you to upgrade from the free to the pro version, which becomes very annoying over time. Still, the application itself is a decent all round performer, and for the most part offers fast, reliable spam filtering that will only improve as the community expands.
